I’ve been asked a lot about how SmartFOOD started and what I do there 🙂 I’ll start from the very beginning – SmartFOOD’s first customers were able to eat in 2017, when I had a need for such a service myself. By then, I had been working in the concert organization field for years, and during those mega-fast and stressful periods, eating normally was the last thing on my list. It’s not something to brag about, but I can say that I was quite high up in the list of regular customers with gas, and back then, there weren’t as many healthy snacks in their selection as there are today😊

So at some point I started looking for someone close to home who would have the time and willingness to prepare my daily meals for me for a fee – I planned to bring several days’ worth of ingredients from the store and have someone prepare the meals in boxes so I could take them with me in the mornings when I rush to work. But it wasn’t an easy task, plus I wanted these meals to be more or less balanced in terms of macros.

On one trip, I noticed a service that offered calorie-based nutrition with home delivery – it was basically the same thing I had wanted! From there, things developed very quickly. Starting this company has been one of the most exciting periods in my life, the entire ordering and logistics system, as well as the functioning of the kitchen and recipes, had to be developed from scratch, at first we did everything on our own and in Excel – fortunately, by now we have switched to a functioning client environment and logistics program, the systems are automated and optimized👌. Broadly speaking, my business partner handles kitchen issues and makes sure that everything works with logistics, I am responsible for the development, marketing and financial side. But if necessary, we also deal with clients directly, if the courier gets sick, we deliver the packages, we help the chefs in the kitchen – in short, we do what needs to be done at the moment, as life goes on in small businesses😊

There are about 12 people in the SmartFOOD team, all of whose contributions are irreplaceable, and what’s especially cool is that we don’t have to praise ourselves in all this, our customers do. Awesome!💚
